Food Service Supervisor/Manager
Mississauga, ON
A small 55 Bed Long Term Care Facility in south Mississauga (Port Credit) is looking for a Food Service Supervisor/Manager. This position is the only FSS in the facility (based on the size of the facility) and has 15 hours (two days at 7.5 hours each) to offer. The ideal work days would be Tuesday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
The successful candidate will:
• Have a valid CSNM membership
• Be computer literate and efficient (MS Word, MS Excel)
• Experience in Care Planning and using Med e-Care
• Inventory Control and some ordering
• Supervising a Team
• Auditing and implementing interventions to correct deficiencies
• Decision Making
• Reviewing Policies and Procedures
• Creating Menus/Theme Day Therapeutics, Special Menus
• Creating Policies/Procedures as needed
• Updating Dietary Kardex (MS Excel)
• Updating Labels (MS Word)
• Working as a Team Player and as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
• Complete Dietary Profiles for new admissions
• Strong ability to Multitask
• Self-driven and able to schedule own time (you are under your own direction to complete the roles of the food service manager/supervisor)
Please note that our Dietitian completes all quarterlies (Low, Moderate and High Risk), however the successful candidate will be responsible for knowing how to initiate care plans and perform necessary assessments and run any required reports.
