Part Time Dietary Supervisor

Hours of work: 15 hours per week.

Under the direction of the Director of Dietary Services and Information Technology, this position will be responsible for ensuring that the Food & Nutrition Services Department is providing and maintaining high quality dietary services and nutritious meals to our Residents.  This will be provided in a manner that is consistent with GROVE PARK HOME’s Mission, Service Philosophy, department and facility policies and procedures and other applicable regulations and guidelines.  This position will be responsible for providing administration/clerical/clinical support to the Director of Dietary Services and Information Technology

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • As per Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Regulations, Successful completion of the Food Service and Nutrition Management post-secondary program
  • As per Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Regulations, Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
  • In the absence of or under the direction of the Manager of Food & Nutrition Services, the Supervisor will complete RAI/RAPS and update nutritional care plans
  • Working knowledge of the Synergy on Demand Management Program
  • Ability to act in an appropriate professional manner at all times which will include but not be limited to dealing with issues through proper channels, orientation of new staff in a manner that will not permit them to act in an unsafe manner.
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care; Long Term Care Homes Act
  • Knowledge of the Food Premises section of the Health Protection and Promotion Act
  • Secondary school graduation diploma
  • Must have basic knowledge of cooking and baking principles
