: 0800 h to 1600 h
The Dietary Summer Assistant will work under the supervision of the Faith Manor Dietary Manager to provide dietary assistance for residents in the Manors.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Auditing
• Taking Inventory
• Assist with catering and delivery
• Resident interaction interviews
• Basic filing paperwork
• Menu assistance Copying, printing cross referencing
• Basic computer skills for data entry
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Dietary, Nutrition, food management students at the university level or College level preferred
• Current in food handlers certificate from Public health
• Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility Criteria: must be between age 15 to 30 at the start of employment, a Canadian citizen, permanent
resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the
duration of the employment and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in
Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations (International students are not eligible
participants).
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently;
• Ability to understand and/or speak the Dutch language an asset
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Check)
Please note that this summer employment position is conditional upon receiving funding through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Confirmation of funding will be known in May 2020.
