Food Service Manager - Hamilton, ON
FULL-TIME FOOD SERVICE MANAGER – HAMILTON AREA
Nutritional Management Services has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic and professional Food Service Manager for a full-time position in our client’s Long-Term Care and Retirement facility located in the Hamilton area.
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
• CSNM member in good standing
• A current police check with vulnerable persons screening and recent TB test
• 1-2 years prior food service supervisory experience ideally in a long-term care or retirement setting
• Able to demonstrate leadership in the field of Food Service
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
• Knowledgeable regarding MOHLTC compliance standards
• Flexibility to work an occasional weekend or evening for special events
• Resident focused with a caring attitude
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Quality Assurance initiatives and ability to carry through with performance improvements
• Adherence to strict health, safety and sanitation procedures
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Office software, Point Click Care, Drop Box and ability to learn new software programs
• Ability to lift and carry food or supplies inventory of up to 20 lbs. if required
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
