Position Description:
Working with the Food Services Manager, coordinates and supervises the operations of the Food
Services Department in accordance with company policies and MOH-LTC legislation. LTC homes
and residents are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are in dire need of individuals who are
able to support them during this difficult time.

Potential Responsibilities May Include:
● Helps oversee all duties performed by the dietary staff
● Supervises the preparation and service of all meals and nourishments
● Ensures that food is prepared according to standardized menus and recipes and are suitable for residents
● Forecasts menu requirements and prepares production sheets and orders for staff
● Ensures that cleaning and safety procedures are followed during pandemic protocol
● Assists in completing regular inventory and grocery orders
● Assists in the orientation of new employees
● Resolves routine work problems and grievances
● Assists in the staff training and education program
● Other duties as required, including some clinical nutrition duties (as needed)

Qualifications:
● Must be a member of CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management)
● Point Click Care, Synergy on Demand, and Microsoft Office tools an asset
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Good interpersonal skills for dealing with all types of people
● Good problem solving skills
● The ability to work effectively in a team environment
● The ability to remain composed when faced with unexpected problems and stressful situations
● A love of food
● A resident-focused approach
