As Health Team Member, my role is Nutrition Educator. The programming offered is focused on diabetes prevention delivered through workshops, interacting cooking sessions, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with visiting professionals, physical wellness, and cultural teams. During the Pandemic Phase, programming has evolved from in-house participation to outreach through the lens of Food Security. The three main areas of community support and engagement that are offered through weekly programming are Baking Kits for Kidz, Jiibaakwek, and the Good Food Hamper.

Baking Kits for Kidz and Jiibaakwek provide support to families around healthy food concepts through hands-on interactive learning in the comfort of their own homes. Healthy recipes, education and awareness, and all ingredients are delivered to each registrant. Good Food Hampers are assembled and delivered to the elderly, vulnerable, and single parents of the community.
